Why Your Mattress Choice Matters
The average Kenyan spends 6–8 hours in bed every night. A poor mattress leads to back pain, poor sleep, and fatigue — all of which affect your productivity and health. Choosing the right mattress is one of the best investments you can make for yourself and your family.
At Mandela Mattresses, we carry four of Kenya's most trusted mattress brands: Superfoam, Maharaja, Ndovu, and Mimi Pocket Spring. Here's how they compare.
1. Superfoam Mattresses — Kenya's Everyday Favourite
Best for: Families, guest bedrooms, rentals, and everyday use
Superfoam is one of Kenya's most recognized mattress brands, known for high-density foam that offers reliable comfort and durability at an accessible price point.
Available at Mandela Mattresses:
- Superfoam Morning Glory High Density 8" thick — ideal for children's beds and single sleepers
- Superfoam Morning Glory High Density 10" or 12" thick — fuller comfort for couples and master bedrooms
Why choose Superfoam?
- High-density foam that doesn't sag quickly
- Affordable without compromising on quality
- Great for Airbnb hosts and rental properties

3. Ndovu Mattresses — Tough, Reliable, Long-Lasting
Best for: Budget-conscious buyers, student hostels, staff quarters, and Airbnb
Ndovu mattresses are designed for durability. Built with either High Density (HD) or Medium Density (MD) foam, they're a practical choice for anyone who needs a dependable mattress without premium pricing.
Available at Mandela Mattresses:
- Ndovu HD Plain 6" — compact and firm, great for children
- Ndovu HD Plain 8" — firm support for adults
- Ndovu MD Plain 6" — medium feel, softer than HD
- Ndovu MD Plain 8" — balanced comfort and support
Why choose Ndovu?
